The scope focused on strengthening two designated corners using carbon FRP, with crack injection at column lines where required. Working with Burton Construction, Delta based the repair package on sketches from Walter P Moore and revised its proposal in response to additional engineering direction.

Project challenge
The repair addressed specific corners within the Level 12 concrete geometry. The reinforcing locations needed to follow the engineer's details, while cracking at the column lines required separate consideration. The package therefore distinguished the defined corner-strengthening work from conditional crack injection. Construction planning also had to place the specialty work into Burton's active building schedule after the repair direction was established.
Project approach
The proposed installation sequence began with mobilization, staging and securing the work area. Delta would prepare the concrete for epoxy application, install non-recessed wet-layup carbon FRP at the locations designated by the engineer of record, and apply a UV inhibitor. Cleaning the area for final inspection completed the sequence. Crack injection at each column line was included as a conditional item, allowing the repair to address the identified cracking where necessary.
Delivery and coordination
Burton's field and project management personnel coordinated with Delta on readiness and scheduling. After the general contractor requested an update, Delta transmitted a revised proposal reflecting new direction from Walter P Moore's office. This exchange tied the specialty contractor's planned sequence to the current engineering approach. It also kept the corner-reinforcement locations and the conditional crack work within a defined project scope.

The Kirby Grove repair demonstrates a concentrated FRP application at selected concrete corners. Its scope joined a location-specific strengthening detail with provisions for crack treatment and protection of the composite surface.
