Delta Structural Technology completed carbon fiber repair work at Gabriella in Dallas. The scope included slab reinforcement and coordination of fireproofing at the underside. Field preparation for pull testing and production of daily material samples connected the composite installation with the project’s quality-verification process.

Project challenge
The reinforcement design needed to incorporate the specified underside fireproofing, while testing arrangements required coordination between the installer and the project team. The work also included both top and bottom slab testing areas. These interfaces meant that the strengthening package involved design information, field application, and test preparation rather than installation alone.
Project approach
The engineering coordination added the required fireproofing to the slab-underneath detail. During the field work, Delta prepared sample areas on the top and bottom of the slab for pull testing. The team also prepared samples for each day of Tyfo Fibrwrap installation and identified them by lot number. These activities provided a connection between the applied system and the material used during individual installation periods.
Delivery and coordination
Coordination involved Potter Structures and the wider development team, with a site meeting arranged in Dallas. Testing-company information and responsibility for arranging the pull tests required separate clarification. The field samples and lot identification were therefore only one part of the quality process; the test schedule and reporting also needed to be connected to the construction team.

Gabriella illustrates the coordination needed around composite installation in a building slab.
